Launch of project website INTELLIGENTIC
www.intelligen-tic.com IntelligenTIC is a project approved under the specific program to support Innovative Clusters within the strategy of strengthening clusters and SMEs’ innovation. It is a program of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism (MINETUR).
Recently the European Commission announced the creation of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) on "Smart Cities and Communities" (Smart Cities and Communities), in order to catalyze progress in areas where production, distribution and use of energy, mobility and transportation, and information technology and communication are closely linked and offer new opportunities to provide innovative services while reducing energy usage, optimize resource consumption and intelligently manage infrastructure and services to make communities more sustainable environments, efficient and inclusive.
The European initiative is aimed at demonstrate and commercialized scale solutions that address needs at the intersection of the fields of transport, energy and ICT. These projects (called beacon-lighthouse projects-projects) must be comprised of strategic partnerships, innovative companies composed of the 3 target sectors and act beyond the geographic borders and shall also forge partnerships with local authorities and leaders to gain enough visibility to have the support and participation of citizens and local actors.
Therefore, the Intelligen- TIC project aims to promote the development and implementation of the concept of "Smart City" in Spain, through the establishment of a working group based on inter-AEI Intelligent Communities, looking for parallels between the strategies Spanish and European.
This project is based on the need to identify common ground between different AEIs that, from a thematic point of view independent (energy, transport, mobility, ICT) approach aspects that constitute one of the 6 pillars that underpin the Intelligent Communities strategy, for, following the model of the European EIP, are launched cross-sectoral projects where all actions converge into a single strategy based on sustainability and efficiency, to finally identify niche opportunities that may arise in the implementation of innovative high economic impact initiatives and to develop them in an integrated and collaborative way.
